Hadith 681
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I met my uncle, and he was holding a flag. I asked him: Where are you intending to go? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has sent me to behead (kill) a man and seize his wealth because he has married his father’s wife.
Hadith 682
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Rifaa’ah bin Samwal (may Allah be pleased with him) divorced his wife Tamimah bint Wahb during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Abdur Rahman bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) then married her. There was criticism from the woman’s side against Abdur Rahman bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), so he was unable to have intercourse with her and divorced her without touching her. Tamimah’s first husband, Rifaa’ah, then expressed the desire to remarry her. This matter was mentioned before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade Rifaa’ah from marrying her and said: She is not lawful for you until she tastes the sweetness of intercourse.

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the wife of Rifa’ah came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Rifa’ah has divorced me in such a way that I have become separated from him, and I have married Abdur Rahman bin Zubair, but his organ is like the fringe of a garment. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the wife of Abu Hudhaifah bin Utbah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sahla bint Suhail bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with her), came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifah, comes to us while I am in my private attire. We used to consider him as our son, because Abu Hudhaifah had adopted him as a son in the same way that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had adopted Zaid. Then Allah the Exalted revealed the verse: __QUR_33_5__ (Call them by [the names of] their fathers; that is more just in the sight of Allah) (Al-Ahzab: 5)." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her: "Give your milk to Salim." So she gave him her milk five times, and thus he became her foster son. For this reason, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to instruct her sisters and nieces to give their milk five times to any man whom they wished to show themselves to or wanted him to come to them, even if he was an adult, and then that man would come to her. The rest of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), including Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), did not consider it correct for a man to come to them due to such (adult) suckling, unless he had been breastfed in infancy. They used to say to Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "By Allah! We think that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted this concession only for Salim, not for others."
Hadith 691
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me while a man was sitting with me. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Who is this? I replied: This is my foster brother. He said: Recognize who your brothers are; fosterage is only established when milk is the child's (main) food.

Sayyiduna Sabrah bin Ma’bad Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for (‘Umrah). When we had performed ‘Umrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You may benefit from these women (mut‘ah). In those days, the way to benefit was through marriage. So we proposed marriage to the women, but they refused unless we fixed a term between us and them. We mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: Fix a term. The narrator says: My cousin and I set out (for mut‘ah). I had a cloak, and my cousin’s cloak was better than mine, but I was younger than him. We went to a woman and presented our purpose to her. She liked my youth, and she liked my cousin’s cloak. She said: The cloaks are the same. So I married her, and we agreed on a term of ten days. I spent that night with her, and the next morning I went to the mosque early. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing between the Hatim and the door (of the Ka‘bah) delivering a sermon: O people! I had permitted you to benefit from these women. Listen! Allah has forbidden this (mut‘ah) until the Day of Resurrection. Therefore, whoever has such a woman with him, let him set her free, and do not take back anything you have given her.
Hadith 700
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Any woman who marries without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is invalid. If the husband has intercourse with her, then she will receive the dowry, because he has made her private parts lawful for himself. If the guardians dispute among themselves (i.e., do not allow the marriage), then the authority to act as guardian for the one who has no father will be decided by the ruler of the time.
Hadith 701
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no marriage without the permission of a guardian.
