Hadith 95
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَا: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ؟ قَالَ: «لِيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلْيَنَمْ وَلْيَطْعَمْ إِنْ شَاءَ».
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Can a person sleep while in a state of janabah? He replied: He should perform ablution and then sleep, and if he wishes, he may also eat.
