Hadith 398
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَامَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ الْكَدِيدَ أَفْطَرَ " ، وَإِنَّمَا يُؤْخَذُ بِالآخِرِ مِنْ فِعْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ : قَوْلُهُ : وَإِنَّمَا يُؤْخَذُ بِالآخِرِ هُوَ مِنْ قَوْلِ الزُّهْرِيِّ بَيَّنَ ذَلِكَ مَعْمَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ : أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ .
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fasted during the year of the conquest of Makkah (while traveling), and when he reached a place called Kadid, he broke his fast. And the last action of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is what is taken as proof. Abu Muhammad says: Mu’ammar has clarified that “Indeed, what is taken is the last (action)” is the statement of Zuhri.
