Hadith 857

Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “Will you stay in your house in Makkah?” Upon this, he replied, “When did Aqeel leave any neighborhood or house for us? (He sold everything and leveled it all).” Aqeel and Talib became the heirs of Abu Talib. Sayyiduna Ja’far and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with them) did not receive anything in inheritance because both of them had become Muslims, while Aqeel (in the beginning) and Talib had not embraced Islam.
