Hadith 210

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was in a state of major ritual impurity (junub). He took hold of my hand and I walked with him until he sat down at a certain place. I quietly went to my house, performed ghusl (ritual bath), and returned to his presence while he was still sitting there. He asked: O Abu Hurairah! Where did you go? I explained what had happened. He said: Subhan Allah! O Abu Hurairah! A believer is never impure (najis).
