Hadith 181

The purified wife of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ghusl, he would first wash both his hands, then perform ablution in the same manner as he used to do for prayer, then insert his fingers into the water and run them through the roots of his hair, then pour three handfuls of water over his head with his hands, and then pour water over his entire body.
