Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Verily, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! There are three things, I certainly swear by them: (1) Wealth does not decrease because of charity, so give charity; (2) When a servant forgives an injustice seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty, then because of that Allah Almighty elevates him. In one narration: Allah Almighty will increase his honor on the Day of Resurrection; and (3) When a servant opens the door of begging, Allah Almighty opens the door of poverty upon him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Giving charity and forgiving someone’s oppression—only the one who consistently practices these deeds can truly experience the blessings that result from them. Allah Ta’ala keeps such a person safe from trials, grants them tranquility and peace, and keeps their heart ever-fresh.
Except in cases of extreme necessity, asking people for help is impermissible. A person should strive through their own effort, be grateful to Allah Ta’ala for even a small income, make do with what they have, and ask only Allah Ta’ala for an increase in provision.
