It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked: How much water will be sufficient for my head in the ritual bath of janabah? He replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pour three handfuls over his head. The man said: My hair is a lot. He replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also had a lot of hair, and it was pure as well.
