Hadith 7981

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمُ وَرِقٍ فَصُّهُ حَبَشِيٌّ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the ring of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was made of silver and its gemstone was made in Abyssinia.

Brief Explanation

Generally, at that time, the mines of agate were in Abyssinia and Yemen. Or, the meaning of this hadith is that the color of the gemstone was black, or that the gemstone was made of silver brought from Abyssinia, or it was crafted in the style of Abyssinia.
