Hisham bin Zaid bin Anas bin Malik says: We entered the house of Hakam bin Ayyub with our grandfather, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him). Some people had tied a chicken and were shooting at it as a target. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade tying a living animal and using it as a target.
