Hadith 7841

۔عَنْ أَبِی ہُرَیْرَۃَ قَالَ جَائَ رَجُلٌ إِلٰی رَسُولِ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنِّی رَأَیْتُ رَأْسِی ضُرِبَ فَرَأَیْتُہُ یَتَدَہْدَہُ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: ((یَطْرُقُ أَحَدَکُمُ الشَّیْطَانُ فَیَتَہَوَّلُ لَہُ ثُمَّ یَغْدُو یُخْبِرُ النَّاسَ۔))
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I saw in a dream that my head was cut off, then I saw it rolling away. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and then said: Satan comes to one of you and puts him in terror, and then in the morning he is telling people about it.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From these ahadith it is understood that a person should not relate to others those dreams which he considers bad or satanic; rather, he should act upon the method prescribed by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for dispelling their thought, and seek refuge with Allah Ta'ala from their evil.
