Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to like good dreams very much. Sometimes he himself would ask: "Has any of you seen a dream?" And when someone had seen one, he would himself inquire about it. If it was not harmful, that person would become more beloved to him because of that dream. A woman came and said: "O Messenger of Allah! It is as if I entered Paradise and there I heard the sound of something falling, which caused Paradise to tremble. When I looked, suddenly the son of so-and-so and the son of so-and-so—until she counted twelve men—appeared. Before this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had actually sent a detachment. The woman describes in her dream that they were brought, they were given dirty and tattered clothes, and blood was flowing from their veins. It was said about them: 'Take them to the river Baydakh or the river Baydaj.' They dived into it, and when they came out, their faces were shining like the full moon. Then golden chairs were brought, they sat on them, and a bowl was brought in which there were Doka dates. They ate from it, and whenever they turned it to any side, they found only fruit and kept eating. I too was eating with them. Meanwhile, the one who brought the actual news about that detachment arrived and described all the details, mentioning so-and-so, so-and-so, so-and-so—until he counted twelve men. All of them had been martyred. This was exactly the same number as the woman had described. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring this woman to me." He said to her: "Tell your dream." The woman narrated it in the same way as she had described it to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
