It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Salit (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a Badri Companion, that he said: We were at Khaybar when the command reached us that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had prohibited the eating of domestic donkey meat. Our condition was such that we were hungry and the pots were boiling with meat, but after receiving this prohibition, we completely overturned them.
