It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man should not propose to a woman to whom his brother has already proposed; a woman should not be married in the presence of her paternal or maternal aunt; no woman should ask for her sister to be divorced so that she may pour what is in her sister’s cup into her own; she should marry, for she will receive whatever Allah Almighty has decreed for her.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Islam has given the man the right to four marriages. If a man wishes to marry a second time, the woman should not set the condition that he must divorce his first wife. She should place her trust in Allah Ta'ala and proceed with the marriage; Allah Ta'ala is fully capable of rectifying circumstances.
