Hadith 6591

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي دِيَةِ الْخَطَأِ عِشْرِينَ بِنْتَ مَخَاضٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ابْنَ مَخَاضٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ابْنَةَ لَبُونٍ وَعِشْرِينَ حِقَّةً وَعِشْرِينَ جَذَعَةً
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prescribed in the blood money for accidental killing: twenty bint makhad, twenty ibn makhad, twenty bint labun, twenty hiqqah, and twenty jadha’ah.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The animals mentioned earlier in the blood money (diyah) were in the case of quasi-intentional killing (shibh al-‘amd). This is the blood money (diyah) for accidental killing (qatl khata’). Therefore, the ages of the animals in this case are different from those in the previous case, so there is no contradiction. However, this very hadith is weak, thus there is no need for reconciliation or harmonization.
