Sayyiduna Safwan bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), whose wife was Sayyida Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her), Abu Zubair says: I went to him, but found Sayyida Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) at home. She asked me: Do you intend to perform Hajj this year? I said: Yes. She said: Then pray for goodness and well-being for us too, because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The prayer of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is accepted. In such a case, an angel is appointed at his head; whenever he prays for goodness and well-being for his brother, the angel says "Ameen" and says: And may you also have the same (goodness and well-being). When I went out to the market, I met Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also narrated to me a similar hadith of the Prophet.
