It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade solitude, that is, for a man to spend the night alone and to travel alone.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The true owner of benefit and harm is Allah Ta'ala, but He has established protective laws while taking into account people's apparent circumstances and feelings. One such law is that one should neither travel alone nor spend the night alone.
