It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The virtue of the wives of the Mujahideen over those who stay behind, in terms of sanctity, is like the virtue of their mothers. So, if any person who stayed behind betrays and harms the wife of a Mujahid in his right, he will be made to stand on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to the Mujahid: This man betrayed you regarding your wife, so take from his deeds whatever you wish. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: So what do you think (will he leave any of his deeds, when everyone will be in utmost need of good deeds there)?
