Mawla Umm Hani Abu Murrah says: I went with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) to his father, Sayyiduna Amr bin As (may Allah be pleased with him). He presented food to him and said: Eat. He said: I am fasting. Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Eat, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to break our fast on these days and forbade us from fasting on them. Imam Malik said: These were the days of Tashreeq.
