It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever washed (his head), performed ghusl, came very early, drew near, in fact sat very close, listened attentively to the sermon and remained silent, then for every step he took, he will receive the reward of one year’s standing (in prayer) and one year’s fasting.
