بَابُ جَوَازِ التَّخَلُّفِ عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذَا صَادَفَتْ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ أَوْ مَطَرٍChapter on the permissibility of missing Friday prayer if it coincides with Eid or rain
Hadith 2723

عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ أَبِي رَمْلَةَ الشَّامِيِّ قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ سَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ شَهِدْتَّ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِيدَيْنِ اجْتَمَعَا؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، صَلَّى الْعِيدَ أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: ((مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُجَمِّعَ فَلْيُجَمِّعْ))
Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it rained on a Friday, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the order and it was announced: Today, the prayer or Jumu'ah will be performed in the homes.
