Hadith 149

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: الْمُؤْمِنُ عِنْدِي بِمَنْزِلَةِ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ يَحْمَدُنِي وَأَنَا أَنْزِعُ نَفْسَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ جَنْبَيْهِ))
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah Almighty says: In My sight, the believer is at the station of every kind of goodness and virtue. I am drawing out his soul from his sides, and even at that time he is praising Me."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … A believer has such a deep connection with Allah Ta’ala that even when his most precious possession—his life—is being taken from him, at that very moment he considers this to be the decree of Allah Ta’ala and praises Him, because all of this is happening by the command of Allah Ta’ala, and whatever He does is so appropriate and correct that He deserves to be praised and glorified for it.
