Hadith 146

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mahmood bin Labeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty protects His believing servant from the world (and its wealth and possessions), even though He loves him. Its example is just like you fear for your sick person and keep him away from food and drink."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is possible that if a believing servant is given worldly wealth and means, he may become involved in their harmful effects and, being deceived by them, may incline towards rebellion and arrogance, as has been observed among wealthy people—except for those upon whom Allah bestows special mercy.
