It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saying on this pulpit: The nosebleed of one of the oppressors from the tyrannical rulers of Banu Umayyah will break out on my pulpit. Ali bin Zaid says: A man, who had seen Amr bin Saeed, informed that Amr bin Saeed had a nosebleed on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. It is also narrated from Ali bin Zaid, he says: A man narrated to me that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: An oppressive ruler from Banu Umayyah will ascend my this pulpit.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Consider the following two hadiths:

The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Indeed, I saw in my dream as if the Banu al-Hakam ibn Abi al-As were leaping upon my pulpit as monkeys leap.” This hadith has been narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah and Sayyiduna Thawban radi Allahu anhuma, and from Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib as a mursal narration. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu, in his narration, also reported these words along with the aforementioned hadith: The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was never seen laughing heartily until his death. (See: Silsilah Sahihah: 3940)

The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “When the sons of Abu al-As reach thirty men, they will introduce corruption into the religion of Allah, make the servants of Allah into slaves, and distribute the wealth of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, among themselves.” This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, Sayyiduna Mu’awiyah ibn Sufyan, and Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhum. (See Silsilah Sahihah: 744)

By “Banu Abi al-As” is meant the Banu Umayyah, in whose period of rule the caliphs who became the subject of the aforementioned hadiths in this chapter were present.
