الفَضْلُ الْخَامِسُ فِيْمَا جَاءَ فِي تَارِيخِ قَتْلِهِ وَالصَّلَاةِ عَلَيْهِ وَدَفْنِهِ وَمُدَّةٍ خِلَافَتِهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُThe Fifth Virtue Regarding What Has Been Narrated About the Date of His Killing, the Prayer Over Him, His Burial, and the Duration of His Caliphate, may Allah be pleased with him
Hadith 12281

وَعَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ قُتِلَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ تِسْعِينَ سَنَةً أَوْ ثَمَانٍ وَثَمَانِينَ
It is narrated from Qatadah that at the time of martyrdom, the age of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was ninety or eighty-eight years.

Benefits: … There are various reported statements regarding the total age of Sayyiduna Uthman radi Allahu anhu. Hafiz Ibn Kathir said that his age was more than eighty-two years.
