عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي لَوْ شَهِدْتَنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ نَبِيِّنَا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْنَا السَّمَاءُ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ رِيحَنَا رِيحُ الضَّأْنِ إِنَّمَا لِبَاسُنَا الصُّوفُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I wish you could have seen the scene when we were with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and it would start to rain, then you would think that our smell was like that of sheep, and the reason for this was that our clothing was made of wool.
