Hadith 11212

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِهَارًا غَيْرَ سِرٍّ يَقُولُ ”إِنَّ آلَ أَبِي فُلَانٍ لَيْسُوا لِي بِأَوْلِيَاءَ إِنَّمَا وَلِيِّيَ اللَّهُ وَصَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) not secretly, but openly saying: Indeed, the family of so-and-so are not my friends; my friends are only Allah and the righteous believers.
Brief Explanation
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-As radi Allahu anhu, he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam saying, not in secret but openly, that indeed the family of so-and-so are not my allies; my allies are only Allah and the righteous believers.
