It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I never saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughing openly such that I could see the uvula of his throat; he (peace and blessings be upon him) would only smile slightly. And when he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw clouds or wind, its effects would become apparent on his (peace and blessings be upon him) face (i.e., he would become worried). I said: O Messenger of Allah! People become happy when they see clouds or wind, because they hope for rain to come, but on the contrary, I see that signs of anxiety appear on your face? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Aisha! What security do I have that there is no punishment in it, while a people (i.e., the people of ‘Ad) were destroyed by wind, and that people were looking at the punishment, but (seeing the apparent cloud) they were saying: This is a cloud that will bring us rain.
