بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي أَنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ أَوْدَعَهَا اللهُ فِي قُلُوبِ خَلْقِهِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ مِائَةٍ مِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ لِخَلْقِهِChapter: What has been reported regarding Allah placing mercy in the hearts of His creation—a part out of a hundred of His mercy for His creation

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمَعَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ مَا قَنَطَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَوَضَعَ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ خَلْقِهِ يَتَرَاحَمُونَ بِهَا وَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ رَحْمَةً
Syedna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If a believer were to know of Allah Almighty’s punishment, no one would hope for Paradise, and if a disbeliever were to know of Allah Almighty’s mercy, no one would despair of Paradise. Allah Almighty has created a total of one hundred mercies; out of these, He has sent down one mercy among His creation, and because of it, they are merciful to one another, and ninety-nine mercies remain with Allah Almighty.
