It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was in the market when a man called out: "O Abu al-Qasim!" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, turned towards him, so the man said: "O Messenger of Allah! I was calling him." Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Name yourselves with my name, but do not take my kunya (patronymic)."
