بَابُ الظُّلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌChapter: Oppression Is Darkness
Hadith 487
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظُّلْمَ، فَإِنَّ الظُّلْمَ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْفُحْشَ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْفَاحِشَ الْمُتَفَحِّشَ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحَّ، فَإِنَّهُ دَعَا مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَقَطَعُوا أَرْحَامَهُمْ، وَدَعَاهُمْ فَاسْتَحَلُّوا مَحَارِمَهُمْ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of oppression, for oppression will appear as darknesses on the Day of Resurrection. And avoid indecency, for indeed Allah does not like the one who is indecent nor the one who speaks indecently. And beware of miserliness, for miserliness incited those before you so they severed ties of kinship and made lawful what was unlawful for them."
