´Narrated Anas bin Malik:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) would recite: 'Anin-nafsu Bin-Nafsi Wal-'Ainu Bil-'Aini'" (From 5:45)
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation: 1: That is: "al-'ayn" with a dammah (u-sound) on the letter noon, while it is being coordinated (conjoined) to "al-nafs", which would require that the noon also be read with a fathah (a-sound).
2: A life for a life and an eye for an eye (al-Ma'idah: 45)
Note: (In the chain of narration, Abu 'Ali ibn Yazid is a narrator whose status is unknown [majhool].)
