Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet ﷺ said: If any slave marries without the permission of his masters, he is a fornicator.

«أخرجه أبوداود، النكاح، باب في نكاح العبد بغير إذن مواليه، حديث:2078، والترمذي، النكاح، حديث:1111، وأحمد:3 /300، 301، 382، وابن حبان:ينظر عنده، والحاكم:2 /194، ابن عقيل ضعيف.»©Explanation:
The aforementioned narration has been declared weak in its chain of transmission by our esteemed researcher. However, while researching Sunan Abu Dawud, he has mentioned another hadith of the same meaning, which he has declared strong in its chain. Furthermore, Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah has also discussed this in detail and graded it as hasan (good). From this, it is evident that the aforementioned narration is, according to our esteemed researcher as well, correct in meaning and practicable.
