Women Looking at Non-Mahram Men

Fatwa by: Former Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him)
Question:

What is the Islamic ruling on women looking at non-mahram (unrelated) men?

Answer:

Regarding women looking at pictures of non-mahram men, we advise women that the best practice is for men and women not to look at each other. There is no difference when it comes to viewing competitions like sports matches, boat races, or other such activities. However, because women generally have less emotional restraint, and since films, photographs, and other media often depict suggestive or provocative images that stir desires and lead to temptation, it is safer and closer to piety to avoid such situations.

And Allah is the One Who grants success.
