Do Not Deny the Existence of Allah Based on Emotions

Truths Do Not Change with Emotions
Undeniable facts of the world—such as the earth being round or water being essential for life—are not affected by our emotions or circumstances. Yet, when it comes to the most fundamental truth, the existence of Allah, some people reject it based on their personal pain or suffering:
◄ “I lost all my wealth, so God does not exist.”
◄ “My beloved left me, so God does not exist.”
◄ “There was a flood in Sri Lanka or an earthquake in Nepal, so God does not exist.”
◄ “Children died in Thar due to government negligence, so God does not exist.”
The Existence of Allah is the Greatest Truth
The existence of Allah ﷻ is an absolute reality, independent of anyone’s personal circumstances or emotions. Just as we make rational decisions in other aspects of life, belief in the Creator of the universe should not be tied to temporary trials or worldly events.
Complete Justice is Not Possible in This World
A concept of complete justice in this world is not realistically attainable.
- The oppressor often lives in power and luxury, while the oppressed suffers.
- Those who earn through unlawful means live comfortably, while honest laborers struggle for necessities.
- Many criminals escape the grip of the courts.
Example:
An old man kills a young person and is sentenced to death. But is this complete justice?
- The murderer had already lived his life, while the victim was young with his entire life ahead.
- What about the consequences faced by the victim’s family? His wife left homeless, children orphaned—who compensates for that?
This demonstrates that justice in this world is incomplete, and it is only natural for human beings to feel that there must be a court of justice where every deed, good or bad, receives its due reward or punishment.
The Hereafter: The Realm of Complete Justice
Religion informs us of the Hereafter, where every injustice will be addressed, and every good deed rewarded in full.
Islam never claims that complete justice will be achieved in this world. Rather, it clearly states that this world is founded on the principle of trial, and the very presence of incomplete justice is itself a natural proof that a Day of Judgment must exist.
- Sometimes the murderer walks free, while the innocent is sentenced.
- The oppressors continue to wrong the oppressed, yet worldly courts fail to deliver complete justice.
These injustices and oppressions generate an instinctive need within human beings for a realm where justice is absolute.
The Misunderstanding of Those Who Object to the Hereafter
If someone denies Allah’s existence on the basis of injustice and suffering in this world, it reflects a lack of understanding.
Islam clearly explains that this world was not created for the purpose of justice, but rather for testing mankind.
The existence of Allah ﷻ does not depend on the presence or absence of war, hunger, or injustice in the world.
Conclusion
Therefore, denying the existence of Allah solely due to personal issues or worldly conditions is not justified.Truth remains truth, regardless of one’s emotions, pain, or social circumstances.
