❖ Question:

When the Qur’an and Ḥadīth provide a complete code of life for Islam, how did differences arise among Muslims?

✿ Answer:

The Qur’an and Ḥadīth indeed constitute complete Islam. However, differences among people arise due to their own understanding and perception. There is no fault in the Qur’an and Ḥadīth themselves.

Since every individual possesses a different level of thinking, intellect, and comprehension, the existence of differences is a self-evident reality. These differences will only be resolved when we understand the Qur’an and Ḥadīth according to the methodology of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥīn.

Furthermore, the type of disagreement that is blameworthy and harmful is that which conflicts with the explicit texts of the Qur’an and Ḥadīth.
