The longest recitation is prescribed and Sunnah in the Fajr prayer.
❖ Evidence from Ḥadīth
◈ Abū Barzah al-Aslamī (RA) reported:
((يقرأ فيها ما بين الستين إلى المائة))
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite between sixty and one hundred verses in Fajr prayer.”

◈ ʿAllāmah Ibn al-ʿArabī (d. 543H):
((اتفق العلماء على أن أطول الصلاة قراءة الفجر))
“The scholars are unanimously agreed that the prayer with the longest recitation is Fajr.”
