Where was Sūrat al-Qalam revealed?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ʾAmma baʿd!
◈ Sūrat al-Qalam is Makki (revealed in Makkah), and this classification is agreed upon by the scholars of Tafsir.
❀ Mufassir Ibn ʿAṭiyyah (رحمه الله) (d. 542 AH) states:
“It is Makki, and there is no disagreement among the scholars of interpretation on this matter.”
(Tafsīr Ibn ʿAṭiyyah, 5/345)
هٰذا ما عندي، والله أعلم بالصواب
