❖ Question:

If a woman's husband passes away, when can she remarry?

✿ Answer:

She may remarry after completing her ʿiddah (waiting period). The ʿiddah for a widow is four months and ten days.

❀ Quranic Verse:

(Surah al-Baqarah, 2:234)

"Those among you who die and leave behind wives should bequeath that they (the wives) shall wait by themselves for four months and ten days. When they reach the end of their term, there is no blame upon you for what they do with themselves in a lawful manner. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do."

✅ Conclusion:

After the completion of her ʿiddah period (4 months and 10 days), a widow is permitted to remarry, provided all Islamic conditions for marriage are fulfilled.
