❀ Question:

What is the meaning of the word “Jinn”?

✔ Answer:

The word "Jinn" means: “something hidden”.
From a linguistic perspective, the unborn child inside the womb is called “Janīn”, because it cannot be seen.

It is not necessary to see something in order to believe in its existence. For example:
Scenes and data stored in a memory card – they are not visible, yet we acknowledge their presence.
Electricity – though unseen, everyone believes in it.
What is inside a computer screen – no one can actually see it directly, yet it functions.
Mobile phone screen content – while we see the display, the internal names, numbers, and videos are unseen.
Magnets – how do they attract iron? Though we cannot see the magnetic force, we accept its effect.

Likewise, jinn are unseen beings, but they exist, and we affirm their reality.
