Warning Against Women Wearing Perfume in Public Gatherings

❀ Ḥadīth on Women Wearing Fragrance in Public


Narrated by Abū Mūsā رضي الله عنه:


◈ Arabic Text:


المرأة إذا استعطرت فمرت بالمجلس فهي كذا كذا يعني زانية


◈ Translation:


“When a woman applies perfume and passes by a gathering, she is such and such…” meaning: she is like a fornicator (zāniyah).

Parents should ensure that their daughters do not use perfume when leaving the house, as it is explicitly condemned in the sayings of the Prophet ﷺ.
