What is the benefit of reciting Sūrah al-Mumtaḥanah? Please explain.
❖ Answer
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
- Sūrah al-Mumtaḥanah, like every other chapter of the Qur’an, is the Word of Allah Almighty.
- However, after careful research, no specific authentic virtue has been found regarding this sūrah.
- In general, many of the special merits mentioned in tafsīr books about certain sūrahs are based on weak narrations, except for a few particular sūrahs whose virtues are authentically established.
Hādhā mā ʿindī, wallāhu aʿlam biṣ-ṣawāb.
