A Companion, after hearing from the Prophet ﷺ about the virtue of sending Salat (Durud), said:“O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I will divide my supplication into four parts: one part for sending Salat upon you, and three parts for making du‘a for myself.”
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
“If you increase it, it will be better for you.”
The Companion then said:
“I will divide my supplication into two parts: one part for sending Salat upon you, and one part for myself.”
