❖ The Virtue of Friday for Conducting Marriage
Imām Ibn Qudāmah رحمه الله regarded performing Nikāḥ on the day of Jumuʿah (Friday) as mustaḥabb (recommended).
✔ Reasons:
① It was the opinion of many of the Salaf (early righteous predecessors).
② Friday is a day of honor, considered an Eid for the Muslims.
③ It is also the day on which Ādam عليه السلام was created.
Al-Mughnī by Ibn Qudāmah: 9/470Conclusion:
Holding a Nikāḥ on Friday is a recommended and praiseworthy act due to its virtuous status in Islam and the practice of the Salaf.
وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّوَابِ
And Allāh knows best what is correct.
