Source: Fatawa ‘Ilmiyyah, Volume 1, Kitab al-Salah, Page 303

❖ Question:

What is the ruling on making the intention (niyyah) for Salah verbally?

❖ Answer:

الحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام علىٰ رسول الله، أما بعد!

✔ Legal Status of Verbal Intention for Salah:

Not found in authentic Ahadith,
Not found in the sayings of the Companions (رضي الله عنهم),
