Salah Performed in a State of Impurity is Valid if the Time of Impurity is Unknown​

❖ Question​


Is it necessary to repeat Salah that was performed in a state of impurity (najāsah)?


❖ Answer​


Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!


  • If a person suffers from illness and does not know when exactly the impurity (najāsah) occurred, then in such a case:
    ✔ His Salah will be considered valid.
    ✔ Repetition of that Salah is not obligatory.
  • However, for future Salah, one must exercise due care and precaution to avoid performing prayer in such a state.
