Thus, it is preferable and more appropriate to avoid such practices. Instead, a person should rely on Ruqyah (spiritual healing) using Quranic verses and Allah's Beautiful Names (Asma’ul Husna), as prescribed by the Shariah. Question
Is it permissible to use the Quran for healing and treatment in cases where there is no explicit textual evidence?Answer
There is no evidence from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) that he ever wrote any Quranic Surah or verses on a plate, clay pot, or paper to be washed with water or saffron and then consumed for the purposes of seeking blessings, knowledge, wealth, health, or well-being. Neither is there any evidence that the Prophet (ﷺ) permitted such practices for others or allowed his companions (رضي الله عنهم) to do so, even though the circumstances for such actions could have existed during his time. Thus, it is preferable and more appropriate to avoid such practices.
