It should be noted that there are five types of ṭawāf:
① Ṭawāf al-Qudūm – The first ṭawāf performed upon entering Makkah.
② Ṭawāf of ‘Umrah – The first ṭawāf performed by the person arriving in Makkah for ‘umrah.
③ Ṭawāf al-Ifāḍah / Ṭawāf al-Ziyārah / Ṭawāf of Ḥajj – The ṭawāf performed on the 10th of Dhul-Ḥijjah in Minā after the sacrifice.
④ Ṭawāf al-Wadā‘ (Farewell ṭawāf) – The ṭawāf performed after completing the rites of ḥajj, upon leaving Makkah.
⑤ Nafl Ṭawāf – Any ṭawāf performed voluntarily apart from the above.
