Train Your Children in Salah from Age Seven: Prophetic Guidance

❖ Parents Should Command Their Children to Perform Ṣalāh (Prayer)​


◈ ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه said:


حافظوا على أبناء كم فى الصلوة تم تعودوا الخير فإنما الخير بالعادة.

📚 Al-Bayhaqī, Vol. 3, p. 84


“Guard your children with respect to prayer, and accustom them to good. Indeed, goodness comes by way of habit.”

◈ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:


مروا أولادكم بالصلوة وهم أبناء سبع سنين

📚 Abū Dāwūd, Kitāb al-Ṣalāh, Bāb Matā Yuʾmar al-Ghulām bi al-Ṣalāh: 495; al-Mustadrak al-Ḥākim: 734


“Command your children to perform ṣalāh when they reach seven years of age.”
