Adapted from: Monthly Al-Hadith, Hazro
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (رضي الله عنه) that the Noble Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
“There are three kinds of people with whom Allah will neither speak on the Day of Judgement, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful punishment.”
The Prophet ﷺ repeated this three times.
Abu Dharr (رضي الله عنه) said: “They are doomed and utterly lost! O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who are they?”
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
“The one who lets his lower garment hang below the ankles, the one who reminds others of his favours, and the one who tries to sell his goods by swearing falsely.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 106)
